Meet Bruno Mautone from Agropoli, Salerno, Italy.

Thanks for publishing my biography and photos on this web site including the photos of me as mayor of Agropoli. Agropoli has 20,000 inhabitants which increases to roughly 100,000 in the summer because it is a city by the sea. When I was elected mayor, one of the major newspapers (the paper "Mattino", "Morning", from Naples) asked me (after several political questions) what pastimes and hobbies I had. I responded that "I like to listen to the music of America, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell." I've known America since 1979. I saw them in a concert at Cava dei Tirreni (a city near Agropoli) in September of 1982. The concert was wonderful. I remember the concert as a very beautiful dream. There were 25,000 spectators at the concert.

I am 41 years old, I was born 29 March 1960 in the Isle of Ischia (an island near Napoli-Naples and near the famous Isle of Capri). My wife, Maria is 36 years old and we have one son, Umberto, who is 4 years old. My wife teaches classic violin (but I prefer the music of America). I am a lawyer by profession. When I was mayor of the city I would marry couples (in Italy the mayor performs the civil, not the religious marriages). Now, as a lawyer, I help couples who don't get along to get divorced.
