The Star

Found on On This Christmas Night

Twinkle twinkle Christmas star
And the way you're going
Up above the world so high
You're like a diamond glowing

We have traveled from the east
To the star we're going
Gold and frankincense and myrrh
On him we'll be bestowing

If the clouds should fill the sky
We'd surely find our way
Baby Jesus sleeping where he lay

He's the star, the star, the star
He's the star, the star, the star

Would you be a wise one too
And follow the star as we do
And he will surely guide your way
Through this life and the next he'll lead you

If the clouds should fill the sky
You'll surely find your way
With Jesus king of all that he surveys

He's the star, the star, the star
The star (the star), the star (the star), the star
He's the star (the star), the star (the star), the star (will you follow)
The star (the star), the star (the star), the star (will you follow)
He's the star (the star), the star (the star), the star (will you follow)
The star (the star), the star (the star), the star (will you follow)
He's the star (the star), the star (the star), the star (will you follow)

"The Star" was released on vinyl in 1979 as part of the On This Christmas Night album. It was re-released on CD in November of 1998 in its original order with all original artwork. The only thing changed on the CD is the addition of 3 tracks and the removal of a Mike Warnke's "Christmas Story". He was a Christian comedian who has since left that particular vocation.

I believe everyone will enjoy this Christmas CD and to give you a sample of what it's like I have encoded Dan's song into Real Audio format and included it here in it's entirety ( Real Audio file).

In order to listen to the Real Audio sound clip above, you will need to have the Real Audio player which is available free from the Real Audio web site. Real Audio sound clips are identified by the blue notes () in parentheses. Simply click on the notes to play the song.
