On June 16, 1995, the official announcement was made indicating that Salt Lake City had won the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. A two day celebration was held featuring many artists including America. Dewey and Gerry played an acoustic set without their normal travelling band. Instead, local session players filled in on bass and percussion.
