Adam J. Bernay
Hello, all! Until I checked out this page and found a nine-year-old, I figured I was the youngest America fan out there at 24 years old. I am a student at California State University Fresno, going into my senior year.
In and among all the other things I do (including Republican politics... hence the elephant in the pic, it's the only recent photo I have of myself), I am attempting to put together my own band, The Cavalry (when I sing, I wear the hat the elephant's wearing). America is certainly one of the inspirations for my musical style, which is called "Country" because classic rock & roll is pretty much gone as an "official" musical genre, at least as far as major record companies go...
Anyway, I have very limited exposure to America...in fact, other than having heard "Horse With No Name" many, many times, I really had no connection with the band until reading a British sci-fi fan magazine's bio of Bill Mumy, which mentioned his work with America (actually, the article implied he'd been a member of the band). At that point, I had to get into this group. I picked up the CD of "History," and am surprised I haven't worn it out by now. However, as of the writing of this bio, that's the only album I have, and those are the only America tunes I've heard! I hope to hit some concerts and buy other albums, so I'll immerse myself in more American music ASAP.
If you want to e-mail me, you can do so at email@example.com or check out my website at http://lennon.csufresno.edu/~ajb39/. I love to talk to other America fans!
