Mary Mazur

Meet Mary Mazur from Cheektowaga, New York.

I lived in a 3 story apartment house, each tenant having a flat. My landlord lived above us and local Buffalo musicians lived below. Well, when my roommates and I were in the mood, we cranked "Sister Golden Hair". We'd jump around singing and dancing. George, the musician below, told us that our landlord was upset we were playing it so loud and so often. George calmed our landlord down. Well, America comes to Buffalo and I was unable to go. I came home late that night and George had gone to the concert and said "I have something for you." It was one of those bar tabletop advertisements for wine and on the back was a drawing of a desert cactus and these words, "so stop playing it already" from Gerry and Dewey. I guess after the concert the band was celebrating a birthday, whose exactly escapes me, but America invited everyone to the bar after the concert and George was nice enough to explain his neighbor's fascination with "Sister Golden Hair".

Feel free to send your comments or questions to Mary.
