Nicolas Larek

Meet Nicolas Larek from Gien, France.

Hi there. My name is Nicolas, I'm 24 and I'm French. I'm a real big fan of Supertramp and Roger Hodgson, but last year, I wanted a new album and I saw "The Definitive America." I listened to it in the store and thought that it could be a nice album. I decided to buy it without knowing anything about this band. It was a discovery for me, I listened to it 1000 times, everywhere. Then I bought the 77 Live, Holiday, Harbor, and Gerry's efforts, Van Go Gan and Like A Brother. Thanks to the Internet it's easy to be informed and I learned a lot.

I really love their music. What is surprising is the fact that as a big fan of Supertramp as I have been since I was ten years old, I was sad at the departure of Roger Hodgson in 1983, and the band lost its creativity and solidity since then. But I don't feel the same about Dan, perhaps because I'm a new fan. I guess that the older fans must be disappointed like I was with Supertramp!!!

The paradox is the similarity between Supertramp and America. They both are famous, a member left the band during a time of success, Roger and Dan are very deep in connection with the Lord. It's peculiar!!!

I hope that Gerry and Dewey will come play in France soon and I'm proud to be among you.

Thanks for everything.
Keep the way you are.
Love to you all.

Feel free to send your comments or questions to Nicolas.
