Jason Smith

Meet Jason Smith from Watford, Hertfordshire, England.

I've been enjoying America's music since I was a teenager when I first bought HISTORY. I quickly followed that up with any other second hand vinyl by AMERICA I could lay my hands on. With all the albums now in my collection as well as the box-set and an increasing number of singles (all picture sleeves) you could say I'm a bit of a fan. Here are links to some of them:

Favourites include: "Three Roses", "Sergeant Darkness", "Garden of Peace", "Letter", "1960", "Story of a Teenager" and "Another Try" to name but a few.

What most impresses me is the fact that America continue to produce quality new recordings. Both Hourglass and Human Nature are exceedingly good albums. The only thing wrong with them is the fact that most of the buying public (especially in the UK) have never had the opportunity to hear them.

The boring bit: I'm 32 and live near Watford, Herts in the UK, which is where America started the ball rolling all those years ago (nice coincidence). My wife says I have far too many records and CDs and would love to sell the lot, but knows that that would end in divorce.

Feel free to send your comments or questions to Jason.
