Portrait of Ingrid

Meet Ingrid Lundberg from Sacramento, California.

Hi fellow America fans!

"Groupie: a female fan of a rock band who usually follows the group on concert tours" (Webster's New World Dictionary). Well, the shoe fits! Thus far, however, my "following" has been confined to two states: my home state of California (I live in Sacramento) and neighboring Nevada. I've been a fan of America's music for 25 years, but I did not see them live in concert until April 2000. It was LOVE!

The concert photo here is from March 17, 2001 in Mesquite, Nevada. I made an art paper collage of five song titles, decorating each title with something pertaining to the lyrics, for example; "Molten Love" had a king and an ace of hearts and violet stones. I put it on stage prior to the second show encore. When they came back out to do "Horse With No Name," Brad saw it first and said "Look, it's a very large card!" (Exactly! It was a homemade Valentine... [Do I hear any ahs?!]) Gerry stood it up on stage as they were getting ready to play. I was happy to get this picture.

I'm an owner of a rice farming and rice products company called Lundberg Family Farms. We specialize in organic and gourmet rices, and have over 70 different rice products that are sold worldwide under our Lundberg label. We're a third generation family business; my grandfather started growing rice in northern California in 1937. Besides being on the Board of Directors, I work for the company in marketing and public relations. Look for our products in your local natural foods market... And now... back to our show! :)

If you see me at a concert, please introduce yourself. It's been fun talking to a few of you on e-mail.

Feel free to send your comments or questions to Ingrid.
