Zenaida Wagner

Zenaida in Venice.

Meet Zenaida Wagner from Tamarac, Florida.

I first saw the group perform at the Vanderbilt Mansion in August of 1995 or 1996, on a Sunday afternoon. I really liked them then, but did not have the opportunity to see them again perform until this past Sunday, February 18, at the Gulfstream Racetrack, in Hallandale, Florida. It had rained, so I was lucky enough to find a spot near the stage where to set my chair. I love listening to the accoustic guitar, so their music was delightful to my ears. I also love the harmonica, so it was exhilarating to listen to Gerry Beckley play it in "Lonely People." I find their lyrics unique, sometimes complex, yet pleasant.

About me: I was born of a Cuban mother and an Austrian father. I was raised in Cuba and came to the U.S. in 1962 as a refugee. Since then I have lived in New York City, New Jersey, California, Hawaii, upstate New York, and now in South Florida. I have three grown children and four grandchildren. I enjoy travelling and the picture above was taken in Venice. I work as a school nurse. Incidentally, I have an accordion, a guitar, and a ukulele, which I intend to play some day (I am a forever beginner!). My hobbies include playing tennis and chess, and I also enjoy sailing and contradancing.

I love the band and I am glad to have found them in the Internet. They seem to have wonderful personalities and I wish them all much continued success.

Feel free to send your comments or questions to Zenaida.
