Frank Ellison

Meet Frank Ellison from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England.

My name is Frank Ellison. I am married to Trish, we have a daughter Joanne and a son Christopher and we live in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England.

When I was 17, I heard a wonderful sound coming from a jukebox. The sound was called HORSE WITH NO NAME. 30 years and 14 albums later I am still listening to, playing and singing the songs of AMERICA.

After I purchased YOUR MOVE there was NOTHING ------ for years. I really thought that America had stopped performing as a band. Thank's to the "Internet" at college last year, I re-descovered my beloved AMERICA. I could not believe what I was looking at on the computer screen. (AMERICA FANS and ALL) "What a reward" for a hard year at college.

Following HOURGLASS on tape, ("Sleeper Train") what a song! I now have HUMAN NATURE on CD, and also a copy of ALIBI thanks to another true English AMERICA fan living right next door to me in Sheffield.

I would like to say a big thank you to America and all the crew for doing the UK tour. After buying their first album in 1972 I saw them for the very first time last Sunday at the Lowry in Salford, Manchester. To see them walk on stage and perform was a very special moment for me, one which I will never forget. I was there with my friend Paul Stephens (Paulr), my son Christopher, my three brothers and two sisters and we all had a great night. It's just a shame that I didn't get to meet them that's all.
